Collaboration with a Local Special Needs School: Participated in a Community Café at the “Nagisa Welfare Center” near our Head Office

As part of our community engagement activities, we collaborated with Nada Sakura Special Needs School and took part in the “Fureai Café,” a community café held for senior citizens at the “Nagisa Welfare Center” located near our Kobe head office, where we served our company’s coffee.

At this school, high school-level students with physical disabilities are regularly engaged in an activity where they brew and serve delicious coffee to their teachers. Following a café event held within our company at the end of January, this time they took on the challenge of an off-campus activity.

On the day of the event, approximately 50 cups of coffee were served, and many guests even came back for refills, indicating that the café was very well received. The event also created opportunities for interaction between the students and local senior citizens, who rarely have such opportunities each other. We received many warm comments from both groups, such as, “It was a truly enjoyable time.”

For everyone involved, including the café participants, this was a heartwarming and valuable opportunity to deepen understanding of diversity. We will continue to value our connections with the local community and remain committed to contributing to society through various initiatives.
