Purchase of J-Blue Credits “Kobe Suma Abundant Sea Project”

As part of our initiatives toward a society in harmony with nature and contributions to local communities, we have purchased J-Blue Credits generated by the “Restoring Suma Coast as a Satoumi” – Suma Abundant Sea Project.
While we engage in greenhouse gas reduction activities in coffee, tea, and agricultural product-producing regions, decarbonization efforts utilizing blue carbon through aquatic plants present a particularly challenging task. Therefore, we have decided to participate in and support the Suma Abundant Sea Project, a local Kobe initiative focused on blue carbon, through the purchase of J-Blue Credits.
We aim to leverage the knowledge gained from this project to further advance our decarbonization activities in overseas production areas.
Our group fully supports this initiative, which involves planting eelgrass and wakame(seaweed) in the waters of Kobe to pursue decarbonization and biodiversity.
