Participated in the “Hassaku Festival 2026,” a Summer Festival Hosted by the Ichijima-Minami Neighborhood Association in Tamba City, Hyogo Prefecture

On August 29, the “Hassaku Festival 2026,” a summer festival hosted by the Ichijima-Minami Neighborhood Association in Tamba City, Hyogo Prefecture, was held. As part of “Woody Minami no Mori,” we set up a joint booth with Woods Co., Ltd.

The Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD), which our company is committed to advancing, places great importance on engagement with people from diverse backgrounds. We participated in the festival as part of our efforts to coexist with the local community and address the growing disconnect between residents and forests by creating an opportunity for local people to learn about our forest-related activities.

Woods Co., Ltd. held a “Building Block Tower Championship” for festival attendees using thinned wood. Wooden charms made from eight different tree species were also provided as participation prizes, and the activity was enjoyed by many people of all ages, from children to adults.

We provided free iced coffee made with “ASHITANE,” our coffee beans developed as a greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction initiative. At the same time, we introduced the activities of “Woody Minami no Mori” through informational panels.

Nearly 200 people attended the festival. Through interacting with members of the local community, we were able to share our forest-related activities with many visitors.

Going forward, we will continue working to enhance the value of the forest by encouraging companies and people from diverse backgrounds to engage with it in a variety of ways. Together with the local community, we aim to discover new value in the forest that has previously gone unnoticed.
