Hosting a “Coffee Certification Level 3 Course” at Nada Sakura Special Needs School

On May 15, we held a “Coffee Certification Level 3 Course” for five high school students and four teachers at Nada Sakura Special Needs School.

The course was designed for the students who regularly serve coffee at school events and our company’s internal events, with the aim of providing them with foundational knowledge about coffee and deepening their interest in it.

On the day, in addition to the certification course, we introduced the activities of “Tanzania Coffee Club,” a successor development project led by our Coffee and Tea Division. Using coffee beans sourced from a collection point connected to the project, the students experienced brewing coffee themselves.

Through activities such as observing how different grind sizes affect the taste, the session served as a valuable opportunity for the students to put into practice what they had learned in the classroom.

We will continue to create spaces where we can connect with local communities through coffee, and pursue initiatives that bring smiles to people’s faces.
