SDGs Lecture at Konan University’s Global Education Program(STAGE)

On April 16 and 23, we delivered lectures for 25 university students in the Konan University Global Liberal Arts Program (STAGE) course “Introduction to the SDGs.” The class was held in two sessions: first, under the theme “The Importance and Difficulty of Sustainability,” students engaged with sustainability through workshops and discussions; second, under the theme “In-Depth Thinking and a Global Perspective for Solving Social Issues,” we conducted a class focused on digging deeper into social challenges.
This program is based on the Ishimitsu Group Sustainability Policy’s commitment to “promoting environmental education,” and aims to work together with partner companies and stakeholders around the world to share environmental issues and solutions, while fostering human resource development and raising awareness.
Connecting university students and companies to think about sustainability and social issues not only provided valuable learning for students, but also led to significant insights and learning for us as employees. We hope to continue creating opportunities for mutual learning going forward.
