As part of our community contribution activities, we held a café event for employees at our Kobe Head Office in cooperation with Nada Sakura Special Needs School, located near the office.
At Nada Sakura Special Needs School, high school students with physical disabilities regularly ngage in an activity where they brew and serve delicious coffee to their teachers. This year, following last year, they took on the challenge of an off-campus activity.
On the day of the event, the students broadened their challenge beyond last year by serving not only coffee but also tea, offering two types of beverages to our employees.
It was also used handmade cup holders created by the students from jute bags for green coffee beans provided by our group company, Allied Coffee Roasters.
Thanks to the students’ lively hospitality, warm smiles, and delicious coffee and tea, our employees enjoyed a heartwarming time together. This event also served as a valuable opportunity for our company to deepen our understanding of diversity through interaction with people with disabilities.
We will continue to value our connections with the local community and remain committed to social contribution through various initiatives.
